About AIM

Alliance of Indian MSMEs , established in 2016, is a proactive and dynamic multi-State apex organisation working at the grass-root level and with strong national and international linkages.

AIM was created as an apex body of professional management with active support of the Government of India and Industry in 2016. AIM is a non-lobbying organisation, working closely with industry, Government, academia, and Chamber associations. AIM is representing 50,000 MSMEs (approximately) including the direct and indirect members of the Alliance Partners in India.

The ALLIANCE of Indian MSMEs (AIM) works to create and sustain an environment conducive to the growth of industry in India, partnering industry and government alike through advisory and consultative processes. AIM is a non-government, not-for-profit, industry led and industry managed organisation playing a pro-active role in India’s development process. AIM is India’s premier business association with a direct membership of over with present voluntary membership of 45 Associations, representing 15 states and approximately 50,000 MSMEs in India.

As a facilitator, AIM catalyses change by working closely with the government on policy issues, enhancing efficiency, competitiveness and expanding business opportunities for Indian industry through a range of specialised services and global linkages. It also provides a platform for sectoral consensus building and networking. Major emphasis is laid on projecting a positive image of Indian business, while assisting the members to identify and execute corporate citizenship programmes. Partnerships with over 150 NGOs across the country carry forward AIM’s initiatives toward integrated and inclusive development which include health, education, Solar energy, livelihood, diversity management, skill development and water, to name a few.

AIM works across diverse industry sectors to raise efficiency, productivity, excellence, and sustainability and customize global best practices in Education, Training, Human Resource Development, Industrial Relations and Corporate Governance, to enhance Indian enterprise at the firm as well as at the sector level. AIM Chamber operates through various Expert Committees / Task Forces comprising of representatives of member companies and experts. Views of the Chamber are formulated on topical issues through deliberations in these Committees / Task Forces.
